Zyxel GS1200-8HPV3 gerido L2 Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000) Power over Ethernet (PoE) de secretária, cinzento

The Zyxel GS1200-8HPv3 is an 8-port managed L2 Gigabit Ethernet desktop switch with Power over Ethernet (PoE+) support. It provides eight Gigabit RJ-45 ports (10/100/1000) in a compact, fanless metal housing for quiet, space-saving deployment. The switch offers web-based management, basic L2 features such as VLAN, link aggregation and IGMP snooping, a MAC address table of 4,000 entries and a switching capacity of 16 Gbit/s. PoE-capable ports follow IEEE 802.3at (PoE+) delivering up to 30 W per port with a total power budget appropriate for small office or surveillance setups.

Advantages

The GS1200-8HPv3 combines managed L2 functionality with simple web-based setup, enabling quick configuration and remote firmware or backup operations without complex CLI usage. Its fanless design ensures silent operation and Energy Efficient Ethernet (IEEE 802.3az) reduces power consumption during low activity. PoE+ support allows powering access points, IP cameras and VoIP phones directly from the switch while the web GUI provides per-port power monitoring and remote reboot capability. Compact desktop form factor and optional wall mounting make placement flexible.

Suitable for

• Small office networks requiring managed L2 switching and VLAN segmentation
• IP camera systems and surveillance with PoE-powered cameras
• Wireless access point deployments needing centralized PoE power
• VoIP phone installations in small business environments

How to use

Connect network devices to the eight RJ-45 Gigabit ports and, if required, connect the switch to your router or core network via an uplink port. Access the built-in web-based interface using the switch IP address to run the guided setup, configure VLANs, link aggregation, QoS and IGMP snooping, and to monitor PoE power on each port. Use the web GUI to perform firmware upgrades and to save or restore configuration backups. For PoE devices, attach powered devices to PoE-capable ports and monitor power consumption from the management interface.

Recommendations

Place the GS1200-8HPv3 on a flat surface or mount it on a wall with appropriate ventilation. Use the web management interface for initial configuration and enable LED ECO mode if you prefer to turn off port LEDs. Ensure the total connected PoE load does not exceed the switch’s overall power budget and verify device compatibility with IEEE 802.3at for PoE+ power delivery.
