Cabo ótico ativo NVIDIA 980-9I110-00H005 400GBase para 2×200GBase, 5 m

Optical Active Cable NVIDIA 980-9I110-00H005 400GBase to 2×200GBase, 5 m is a pre-terminated active optical link that splits a single 400GBase interface into two independent 200GBase channels over a 5-m optical connection. The cable integrates active optics and protocol-aware electronics to support high-bandwidth aggregation and port splitting in data center and networking environments, providing a compact alternative to separate transceivers and patch cables.

Advantages

This active optical cable reduces the need for additional transceivers and complex patching by delivering a ready-to-use conversion from 400G to dual 200G links in a single assembly. The integrated optics and electronics minimize insertion points, lower power overhead compared with multiple discrete modules, and simplify cable management in high-density racks. A 5 m reach provides flexibility for typical top-of-rack and middle-of-row physical layouts while maintaining signal integrity and low latency suitable for demanding network traffic.

Suitable for

• Data center aggregation of a 400G port into two 200G channels
• Network equipment interconnects where 400G densification is required
• Switch-to-switch and switch-to-server links in high-density racks
• Environments seeking to reduce transceiver count and simplify cabling

Key specifications

• Function: Active optical cable converting 400GBase to two 200GBase links
• Length: 5 meters optical reach
• Optical type: Active optical fiber assembly with integrated transceivers and electronics
• Data rate: 400 Gbps aggregated, provided as two 200 Gbps channels
• Connector/terminals: Pre-terminated, vendor-compatible interfaces for direct port connection (no field termination required)
• Target environment: Data center and enterprise networking equipment

How to use

Install the cable by connecting the 400G-end to the source port and the two 200G ends to the respective destination ports on compatible switches or devices. Ensure that connected equipment supports the expected lane mapping and link training for 400G-to-200G splitting. Avoid sharp bends and maintain recommended bend radius for the optical assembly during routing. After physical connection, verify link status and negotiated speeds on both ends using management interfaces or switch LEDs to confirm successful link establishment.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, use the cable within the specified 5 m reach and avoid routing near high-power electrical cables or sources of electromagnetic interference. Confirm firmware and port compatibility with your networking hardware vendor documentation before deployment, and perform link validation and monitoring after installation to ensure expected performance.
