Caixa elétrica Rittal 9518.000 poliamida/policarbonato IP66, 182×111×180 mm

Rittal 9518.000 is a compact electrical enclosure constructed from fibre-glass reinforced polycarbonate for the base and a choice of grey or transparent polycarbonate cover. With external dimensions of 182×111×180 mm and an IP66 rating, it is engineered to protect electrical and electronic components from dust ingress and powerful water jets. The enclosure is suitable for junctions, small control modules and sensor housings in industrial and outdoor environments where reliable environmental protection and impact resistance are required.

Advantages

The enclosure combines a robust polycarbonate construction with glass-fibre reinforcement to provide mechanical strength, impact resistance and long-term dimensional stability. A transparent cover option allows visual inspection of internal components without opening the enclosure, while the grey cover provides a discreet, uniform exterior. The IP66 rating ensures protection against dust and heavy water jets, and the compact footprint supports mounting in confined spaces or on machinery.

How to use

Mount the enclosure on a suitable flat surface or machine frame using appropriate fasteners, observing the recommended hole positions and mounting method for this model. Install electrical components and wiring inside the enclosure, ensuring cable entries are sealed or use compatible cable glands to maintain the IP66 rating. Close the cover securely and verify that gaskets and sealing surfaces are clean and properly engaged to preserve environmental protection. For transparent covers, check visibility and access requirements before final installation.

Recommendations

To maintain the enclosure’s protective properties, avoid exposing it to aggressive solvents or continuous high temperatures above the polymer’s specified limits. Clean the exterior with mild detergent and soft cloth; inspect seals periodically and replace damaged gaskets. Use compatible mounting accessories and cable glands to ensure the IP66 rating is not compromised.
