Fonte de alimentação MEAN WELL SCW20C-05 20 W entrada 36-75 V saída 5 V

The MEAN WELL SCW20C-05 is a PCB-mount DC‑DC converter designed for applications requiring a regulated 5 V output. It accepts a wide input range of 36–75 V DC and delivers up to 4 A (20 W) from a compact DIP through‑hole package suitable for board-level mounting. The unit is RoHS compliant and intended for use where a stable low-voltage supply is needed from higher DC rails.

Advantages

The converter offers a wide input voltage window (36–75 V) and a fixed 5 V output rated at 4 A, providing up to 20 W of regulated power. Its DIP through‑hole form factor simplifies PCB assembly and mechanical retention. RoHS compliance ensures it meets common environmental directives for electronic components. The design focuses on stable regulation and straightforward board integration.

Suitable for

• Board-level power conversion from 36–75 V DC rails to 5 V systems
• Embedded devices, industrial control modules, and telecommunications equipment
• Bulk purchasing for OEM assembly and production runs

How to use

Mount the SCW20C-05 into the PCB using the specified DIP through‑hole footprint and ensure correct pin orientation according to the manufacturer’s pinout. Provide adequate copper area and thermal paths on the PCB for heat dissipation. Connect the input to a DC source within 36–75 V and take the regulated 5 V output from the designated pins, observing polarity. Add appropriate input filtering and output decoupling as required by the application.

Recommendations

Operate the converter within its rated input range and load limit (4 A). Ensure sufficient PCB thermal management and follow the manufacturer’s layout guidelines. Verify compatibility with system-level protections (fuses, transient suppression) and perform testing under expected operating conditions before volume deployment.
