Sensor fotoelétrico Datalogic S50-MH-5-B01-PP, caixa em latão, IP67, cUL/CE

Datalogic S50-MH-5-B01-PP is a photoelectric sensor in a compact M18 tubular brass housing designed for industrial object detection and presence sensing. The sensor provides IP67 ingress protection to resist dust and water, and carries cUL and CE certifications. With metal construction and a small 60 g form factor, this sensor is intended for environments that require robust, repeatable detection where standard M18 form-factor mounting and wiring help simplify installation and maintenance.

Advantages

The brass housing ensures mechanical durability and improved resistance to impacts and corrosion compared with plastic enclosures. IP67 protection guarantees reliable operation in dusty or wet conditions. The S50 series standard M18 format supports consistent mounting and wiring practices across different optic functions, reducing installation complexity. Certified to cUL and CE standards, the sensor meets common safety and compliance requirements for a wide range of industrial applications.

Suitable for

• Presence and object detection on conveyors and production lines
• Position sensing in packaging and assembly machines
• Applications in dusty, wet, or washdown industrial environments
• Use cases requiring standard M18 sensor form factor for interchangeability

Key specifications

• Sensor type: Photoelectric (optical) sensor
• Housing material: Brass (metal)
• Mounting style: M18 tubular form factor
• Ingress protection: IP67
• Certifications: cUL, CE
• Weight: approximately 60 g
• Optic orientation: axial or radial options available within the S50 family

How to use

Install the sensor in an M18-compatible mounting bracket or threaded hole so that the optical axis is aligned with the target area. Secure the sensor using the provided fixing holes or nuts and route the cable or attach the connector variant as appropriate. Adjust sensor position and, if applicable, sensitivity or alignment to achieve stable detection of the target object. Verify wiring and polarity before applying power and confirm detection performance with representative workpieces during commissioning.

Recommendations

Choose the brass-housed S50 variant when mechanical robustness and resistance to environmental contaminants are priorities. For simplified system design, use the S50 family’s standardized M18 form factor to interchange sensors with different optical functions without modifying mounting or wiring. Perform regular visual inspections of the sensing face and keep optics free from residue to maintain consistent detection performance.
